As you all know, our high school music department performance tour this spring is to New York City, with performances and clinics at Messiah College on the way back. The tour is scheduled for Saturday, April 13 to Monday, April 15. We have finalized all arrangements and have determined that the final payment due is $200. As usual, checks can be made payable to “NH Choral Parents” and are due by Friday, March 8. Rooming list sign-ups took place last week, and during the next week, we will be compiling the list, making necessary moves to assure we have as many quad rooms as possible, keeping total costs down. All students are aware that if they were unable to come up with a complete quad room that they will be put in one as appropriate.
As we get closer to the departure date, we will be asking families to bring in cases of water to take on the bus that we will use for pre-packaged meals and one meal that will be delivered to us on the way back after our Messiah day. This information and the detailed itinerary along with chaperone assignments and permission slips/medical forms/etc., packing lists, luggage and medication drop-off procedures will all be discussed and distributed at our tour Parent & Family Meeting on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 7:00PM in the high school auditorium. Please make sure a representative from your family attends this meeting and gets the required forms. You will not be permitted on the bus without completed forms (school rules!).
Within the next several weeks, you may receive an email asking for assistance in putting together the food items that the group will be eating on the ride to NYC. Since we are leaving early (5:00 or 6:00AM), students will receive a breakfast items for the beginning part of the bus ride, then another pre-made meal for lunch that will either be eaten on the bus or possibly at the park on Liberty Island before touring the statue.
Click the link below to view the information packet that was discussed and distributed in class on Wednesday, October 24. Those planning to travel with the choir need to turn in their Commitment Form and $25 deposit to the appropriately labeled drawer in the Choir Room by Friday, November 9, 2018.
There will be a Choral Parents meeting on Wednesday, November 7 at 7pm in the Choir Room to discuss more details about the trip as well as fundraising efforts to help individual and whole group contributions to the financial goal. Please plan to attend -- volunteers are needed!
