August 2002 Academic Background: 2015 California University of Pennsylvania - Avid Pro Tools 11 User Certification Levels 101 & 110 2006 Duquesne University - Master of Music, Graduate Assistantship in Choral Conducting 2000 Westminster College - Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Concentration in Voice 1996 Woodland Hills High School Biographical Information: Mr. Cloonan has been with the North Hills School District since the 2002-2003 school year, when he began as a part time vocal music teacher at West View Elementary School. Since then, he has taught at all levels from K-12, and currently teaches the high school choral ensembles (Women's Choir, Symphonic Choir, North Hills Singers, Madrigal Choir, Dreamcatchers, Arrow) and music theory/technology courses. He also serves as producer, vocal director, and sound designer for the high school spring musical. From 2003-2015, Mr. Cloonan was part of the jr. high/middle school winter musical staff (tech director for 3 years, co-director for 3 years, and director for 6 years). Outside of North Hills, Mr. Cloonan is Minister of Music at the First Presbyterian Church of Edgewood. He sings with Voces Solis, a semi-professional chamber choir that performs in the Pittsburgh area. He also sits on the boards of several music organizations: PMEA District 1 (newsletter & web editor), ACDA-PA (technology & communications chair), and Voces Solis (publicity chair). During his time at North Hills Junior High, Mr. Cloonan hosted many festivals (Mucho Macho Music for 10 years, Sweet Harmony once, and PMEA jr. high district chorus twice). He has presented at conferences and workshops of PMEA, ACDA, Duquesne University, and Westminster College, and has guest conducted elementary and jr. high PMEA choral festivals. Mrs. Renée TriscilaJoined Faculty:
November 2011 Academic Background: 2010 Grove City College - Bachelor of Music in Music Education, concentration in Voice 2006 Bethel Park High School Biographical Information: Mrs. Renee Triscila joined the North Hills School District during 2011-12 school year. She directs the middle school choirs (7th Grade Chorus, 8th Grade Chorus, Concert Choir) and some years teaches 8th Grade Music Appreciation classes. Mrs. Triscila serves as sponsor and Music Director for the drama club's winter musical and has also been an assistant girls' volleyball coach for North Hills. She holds a degree in Music Education from Grove City College and is pursuing graduate studies at Gannon University. Mrs. Triscila previously served as a substitute teacher and golf coach in the Bethel Park School District.
