New this year, we are offering students and their families the opportunity to "pre order" flowers and balloons for members of the cast, crew and orchestra. The attached flowergram page is for your pre orders. Feel free to print out and make as many copies as you need. Be sure to indicate which night you would like your items delivered. All pre orders are due by Friday, March 13th. Checks should be made payable to North Hills Drama Club with "flowers" written in the memo line. Order forms and payment can be returned to school and given to Sarah Knobeloch. North Hills High School actors and actresses will take to the stage to perform “Footloose” at 7:30 p.m. on March 19 to 21 and 26 to 28. All performances of the musical will be held in the North Hills High School auditorium at 53 Rochester Road in Ross Township.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. All seats for evening performances are reserved. Tickets can be reserved by calling the box office at 412-318-1440 or purchased starting March 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the North Hills High School’s main office at 53 Rochester Road in Ross Township. If available, tickets also will be sold at the door. The cast will hold a special senior citizen matinee performance at 1:30 p.m. on March 28. Admission is free to district residents age 60 or older. THE STORY OF “FOOTLOOSE” When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, Ren is prepared for the adjustment to his new high school. What he isn't prepared for are the local laws - including a ban on dancing - which are the brainchild of a local preacher bent on exercising control over the town's youths. When the Reverend's rebellious daughter sets her heart on Ren, her boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren's reputation and many of the locals are eager to believe the worst about the new kid. The heartfelt story that emerges is of a father longing for the son he lost and of a young man aching for the father who walked out on him. With its Oscar-nominated hit score (the film soundtrack album has sold over 15 million copies worldwide), the celebrated film musical bursts explosively onto the stage.

In March 2015 North Hills High School will present this year’s Spring Musical, Footloose. High school students grades 10 through 12 are invited to try out for the show. On Friday, December 19 there will be a meeting in the auditorium from 2:00 until 3:00 to give students information about the show and begin rehearsing for the auditions. Auditions will be held in the auditorium on Wednesday, January 7. If you would like more information on audition procedures please plan to attend the meeting on December 19 and pick up information about the show, today, in the athletic office or the choir room. Remember the first meeting about this year’s musical, Footloose, is Friday, December 19 in the auditorium from 2:00 – 3:00.
