A group of alumni and alumni parents of the North Hills High School drama club are planning a fundraising event to benefit the current program, to feature alumni from past shows, and to honor a former director. On Saturday, June 22 from 6:00-11:00 pm at the Shannopin Country Club, the Gala will be a formal sit-down dinner that includes entertainment provided by alumni of all ages performing songs from the shows they were in when they were students at North Hills. Long-time director of the drama program, Glen Richey, will be honored for his more than 40 years of service directing the plays and musicals. In addition to the program, those attending will have the opportunity to dance, to purchase drinks, and to bid on silent auction items.
Tickets to the gala are $45 per person and may be purchased at www.nhchoiranddrama.net. Proceeds collected by the North Hills Drama Parents & Friends Association will go directly to the high school program to enhance the plays and musicals put on by North Hills students.
