Due to the cold temperatures forecast for this week, we have several back-up plans in place depending on what happens at school.
MONDAY, JANUARY 27 Full Cast & Crew Tech/Dress Rehearsal from 3:00-7:00PM. We will combine what was to be done during Saturday's canceled tech rehearsal with our dress rehearsal. The hope is to get through the show one complete time after taking care of tech needs, giving notes, and cleaning up. TUESDAY, JANUARY 28 PLAN A: If we are delayed, dress rehearsal as scheduled from 3:00-6:00 with Photo Night from 6:00-7:00. PLAN B: If we are canceled, there will be NO dress rehearsal or photo night. The photo time will be rescheduled for 4:00-5:00 on Wednesday (as long as school is in session). WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29 PLAN A: If it is a regular school day, we have the preview shows for both elementary and middle school as scheduled with pizza lunch between. Cast and Crew members report directly to the auditorium upon arrival to school. If we are canceled on Tuesday, Parent Photo night will be rescheduled to 4:00-5:00 on this day. PLAN B: If we are delayed, both preview performances are canceled, but we will still be excused for the day and have 2 complete dress rehearsals without an audience, and with lunch between. Once again, report to the auditorium upon arrival at the delayed time. Parent Photo time will begin at 4:00-5:00 if we are canceled on Tuesday. PLAN C: In the unlikely event that we are canceled on Wednesday, previews and rehearsals would be canceled as well. We would then be excused from class on Thursday instead to run our dress rehearsals without any audience, but we would at least get 2 runs of the show in during the day. Students would either go home on the bus at regular dismissal times, or get picked up and come back in time for the scheduled call time at the first evening performance on Thursday. THURSDAY, FRIDAY, AND SATURDAY We expect those to all go on as normally scheduled. The temperatures are supposed to get warmer and there is only a very small chance of snow on the forecast. Thank you all for your flexibility as we try to work through this difficult weather situation. The following form was e-mailed out to parents and will be distributed at rehearsal on Monday, January 13. Tickets go on sale to the public beginning January 15th, so we are giving the cast a head start on reserving their tickets. Bring the completed form with payment to rehearsal or put it in the appropriately labeled drawer in "the unit" so that it can be taken to the Activities Office to be filled.
Here is a copy of the handout that is going home with cast members at the rehearsal on Wednesday, 1/8.
These posters will be distributed within the next week so that cast members can take them to places around the community and increase our ticket sales and audience sizes. Each teacher in the middle and high school will also be given a smaller poster to place in their classrooms. Tickets will go on sale beginning the week of January 13th.
