It's hard to believe that we are just 3 weeks away from opening night!  The students are really working hard and it is going to be a great show!

Hoagie Fundraiser
Attached is the hoagie order form, this drama club fundraiser is in full swing with orders and money due by this Friday, March 18th. Please make your check payable to North Hills Drama Club and if you have any questions, you can contact Terri Hackimer at [email protected] Remember, the student who gets the most hoagie orders (minimum 10) will win a $20 Starbucks gift card!!

Lobby Volunteers
I have attached an updated parent lobby volunteer list as well as the volunteer sheet for the luncheon and after party.  Thank you to everyone who has already signed up!  If you have not yet had the chance to sign up to help, we still have 15 spots open and would love to hear from you!  

Water Donations
Thank you to everyone who has agreed to donate cases of water for our lobby during the performances.  We are still in need of 14 more cases.  If you can donate 1 or 2, please let me know and we will add you to the list!

It is not possible to know, at this time, what parts of the show will need the most work during Easter Break. 
 
Not everyone will have to attend everyday or all of each rehearsal.   There will be small group scene line work, ensemble work, ensemble dance, featured dancers, solo vocal, small group vocal, ensemble vocal and at least three run thru rehearsals with full cast.
 
Later we will decide what sections of the show need work and distribute a detailed rehearsal schedule for Easter break.  There will be a lot of dance rehearsals.
 
We have less than two weeks of rehearsal after Easter break.
 
There will be weekend rehearsals on Saturday, April 2 from 8:30 – 12:00 and Sunday, April 3 from 1:00 – 4:00. 
 
Set construction on April 2 will begin in the morning while we rehearse and end at 4:00 (or when completed).   

Since there are no official recordings of the exact version of the show we are performing, we've purchased the audio practice tracks from the Rodgers & Hammerstein Music Library.  We're able to customize the show to include cuts or repeats that we make, upload it to the cloud, and cast members can download it after getting the app installed on their devices.

Here's how to gain access to our customized practice tracks:

1. Download the RMS Mix app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
2. After installing, open the app and enter your name and email address.
3. Click on the "download shows" folder.
4. Save the QR Code image below to your device, or just scan it from this screen to unlock our show.  If saving the image, select the "upload image" option and select it from your camera roll.
5. Once the show appears, tap it to begin downloading each track.  Note: you'll need to have enough space on your device to store the entire show.  If not, the download will not complete and give an error message.
6. After all tracks have been successfully downloaded, you can listen to any one you'd like, and can also isolate certain parts by clicking the symbol in the top right corner to show a mixer with volume controls for each part.  You can also enable the metronome to have clicks in the background allowing for a steady beat.

We hope you find this technology useful.  The IT Department has loaned us an iPad for us to use this app during rehearsals so that we are working with the exact music the pit orchestra is learning.  We'll also utilize it during vocal rehearsals after we've learned all of the parts to hear what the accompaniment sounds like with more than just piano.
