Drama Club Update

10/24/2016

Hello Drama Club Families,

We are busy working behind the scenes to get ready for The Bringham Review. Opening Night is just a little over 3 weeks away! We have some information to share regarding our Bake Sale, and a few updates on the show:

  • Our Election Day Bake Sale is Tuesday, November 8. We still have one parent volunteer shift to fill: 4:30-6:30 pm. If you can help us by working this shift, please respond to this email as soon as possible. The list of shifts and volunteers is attached for your reference. For Crew parents that have recently been added to this email distribution, we are asking for donations of 2-3 dozen baked goods to be sold at the sale (donuts are not needed, as they are being donated). Students can bring their baked goods to school on Monday, November 7. There is no school this day, but there will be play rehearsal. If you would rather bring your items the morning of the sale, please drop them off at the Middle School Gymnasium entrance, which is where we will be holding the sale. Thank you!
  • Today is the last day to get your ad in for The Bringham Review Show Program. You can email your ad to: TheBringhamReviewProgramAds@gmail.com. If you need a copy of the ad form, please let us know and we can email it to you.
  • Also attached are the volunteer shifts for the lobby sales for The Bringham Review. There are a few shifts that still need covered, they are highlighted in yellow.  If you can take one of these shifts, please respond to this email with your choice.
  • Kevin Richey has forwarded a list of props that are needed for the show. The list is attached.  If you have any of these items and would be willing to let us use them for the shows, please email Kevin at kevin.m.richey@gmail.com.

As always, thanks for your willingness to help.  If you have any questions, please let us know!

    About The Bringham Review

North Hills High School Drama Club will present the first-ever performance of the comedy “The Bringham Review” on Nov. 17 to 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the North Hills High School auditorium. A special free senior citizen matinee will be held on Nov. 19 at 1:30 p.m. Written by North Hills alum Rob Speer and Kevin Richey, “The Bringham Review” tells the story of The Bringham Inn. The inn is well past its prime, but it remains home to some of the most interesting characters in town. When they get news that a reviewer is coming to write an article on their quaint hotel, they see an opportunity to fix all of their problems in one weekend. The only question—how do they hide the hotel’s, and their own, many flaws to get a good review? Will they get the review they’ve all been hoping to have, or will the reviewer see through their plots and schemes? Tickets for the evening productions are $6 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased at the door for all performances. Senior citizens who reside in North Hills School District may attend the matinee for free on Nov. 19 at 1:30 p.m. by reserving a ticket. To reserve a senior citizen matinee ticket, contact North Hills School District Activities Coordinator Chelle Zimmerman at 412-318-1438 or zimmermanm@nhsd.net.
