Welcome to the Drama Club Parent Association! If you are receiving this email, it is because your child signed up for the North Hills Drama Club for the 2017-2018 school year. If you hear of anyone that is not receiving these emails and they should be, please contact us at [email protected]. It probably means their child is not officially signed up for Drama Club or needs to return their contact information sheet. We will be holding our first Drama Club Parent Association meeting on Tuesday, October 3, at 7:00 pm in the High School Choir Room (Enter the doors near the Auditorium, make a right, take the first left, then take another left. The Choir Room is on the right). The meeting should only last about an hour. All Drama Club parents are encouraged to attend, but this meeting is especially important if your child is part of the cast and crew for the fall play, "Pride and Prejudice," scheduled for November 9-11. If your child is in the cast or crew, we ask that at least one parent attend the meeting. We will be discussing fundraising plans, volunteer needs, and other important information. Please contact us if you are unable to make the meeting but would still like to help out in any way! We're attaching two documents for your review: Parent Overview: This is an overview of how the Drama Club works, key contacts, important dates, etc. You may want to print this document and refer to it throughout the year. "Pride and Prejudice" Program Ad Form: The deadline for placing ads in the printed program will be October 16th. Sales of these ads directly benefit the Drama Club, so please consider placing personal ads, as well as approaching local businesses that might be willing to support the North Hills Drama Club. As you're looking at your calendar, please keep in mind these important dates when we will need many volunteers: Tuesday, November 7: We will need volunteers and donations of baked goods for our annual Election Day Bake Sale, held all day at North Hills Middle School outside the polls. We will provide details and a sign-up sheet on October 3. Thursday, November 9 through Saturday, November 11: We will need volunteers for the lobby during the fall play. Again, we'll provide more information and an opportunity to sign up on October 3. Finally, the Drama Club has a section on the North Hills Choral Website where you can always find the most recent information. The address is: http://www.northhillschoralmusic.org. The purpose of the North Hills Drama Parents & Friends Association is to aid and support all theatrical and dramatic programs for current and former students in the North Hills School District in cooperation with the production staff, school administrators, and the School Board of Directors. These ensembles include, but may not be limited to, the high school fall one act plays, spring musical, student showcase; middle school winter musical, and elementary drama camp.
