Hello Drama Club Parents, I am in the process of putting together the basket auction fundraiser for the Fall play, and I could really use your help! If anyone is a business owner or knows any business owners, or if you know anyone who is involved with any local sports teams (Steelers, Penguins, or Pirates), we could use gift cards of any denomination or any type of merchandise to put in our baskets. Please let me know if you are able to help in any way! In order to avoid duplicate requests, please note that I have already filled out online request forms or sent emails to the following businesses: Wahlburger's Jason's Deli Monte Cello Laser Storm Pines Plaza Lanes The Barre Code Code Breakers West View Floral Shoppe Children's Museum Carnegie Science Center Heinz History Center I am attaching a donation request form, in case anyone would like to e-mail it or present it in person to any businesses not listed above. Heather Geyer has generously agreed to donate a Mary Kay product and facial certificate for the basket auction, and Angela Arlia has been kind enough to agree to put together a basket. Thank you so much to both of you! A big thank you also goes out to Chris Nolan and Chris Kubala, who have agreed to coordinate putting together a lottery tree that will be auctioned off along with the baskets. We would like to request that each cast and crew member donate one $1 scratch off lottery ticket(higher dollar amounts will also be accepted!). Please have your students give the lottery tickets to Sean Nolan or Josh Kubala at practice by October 31. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for all of your help! Maureen Pearson
Hi everyone,
Some important news from last night’s meeting… Make-up kit orders for new cast members are due THIS EVENING, Friday, Oct. 5. Please send Ms. Stephanie Fairley a text on Remind or email her at [email protected] with your foundation color. Use this link to choose color – we are ordering the $20 kits. Returning cast members, please alert Ms. Fairley of any replacement stage make-up needed for this production. Payments were already included in your fall play $50 cast dues; no need to send in additional money. Parents and students, use this Election Day Bake Sale link to sign up for a slot to sell baked goods on Tuesday, November 6. This is our big fundraiser for the fall play. We are asking that each drama club family brings in THREE DOZEN baked goods. Baked good donations can be dropped off on Monday, November 5 during set construction from 2:15pm-5pm. Check out the Props Google Doc for the fall play, The Beverly Hillbillies. Please add your name next to an item if you own it or can acquire the item. Send in the prop with your student or stop by after school/Saturdays during set build. ALL students involved in the fall play (cast, stage crew, hair/make-up/costumes crew) need to fill out the Biography Google Form by next Friday, October 12. If not, we will not have any information to include about him/her in the show playbill. Students must have accumulated at least ONE shop hour by this Saturday, October 6 to 1) be in the playbill and 2) have their name on the show t-shirt. Send t-shirt sizes to Ms. Sarazen via Remind App or email [email protected]by Saturday, October 6. Students with the most shop hours have the best chance at receiving their desired crew assignment. Stage crew assignments (lights, sound, running crew, ushers, etc.) will be determined by the technical staff by November 2. Attached are the following documents: Letter from Drama Alum Parent regarding Gala Fundraiser in June, 2019 Agenda for Oct. 4 meeting UPDATED Semester 1 calendar Fall Play Program Ads – each student involved in the production is asked to get AT LEAST ONE PROGRAM AD. All ads due Friday, October 12. Questions go to [email protected]. Looking ahead to next week’s email… we will have a sign-up sheet for all parents to volunteer to work lobby tables during the performances. Thank you so much, Lauren Sarazen, NH Drama Program Director |
