Public Matinee Tickets on Sale November 1

10/30/2019

The North Hills High School Drama Club annually puts on a matinee performance that is free to district senior citizens who make a reservation.  The deadline for seniors to call or email their reservation for the Sunday, November 10th performance is Friday, November 1st. Due to the popularity of this year's show and the use of online ticketing, we would like to open part of the auditorium up to the public to allow for more patrons to see the show.

We will release 200 seats to the public for the Sunday senior citizen matinee performance beginning at 5:00pm on Friday, November 1.  Seating for this performance is general admission (open seating) in order to accommodate wheelchair, walker, vision, and mobility needs.  Cost per seat will be the same as the Friday and Saturday show, $7 each.  Additional seats may be available at the door beginning at 12:30pm after all senior reservations are filled.  Click the button below to purchase tickets to the matinee:

About CLUE: ON STAGE
It's a dark and stormy night, and you've been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each of the guests has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well . . . dead. So whodunnit? Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up. Based on the cult classic film and the popular board game, Clue is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist.

Fall Collage Concert: October 23

10/3/2019

Picture
North Hills’ annual Fall Collage Concert is set for Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the North Hills Middle School.

This event features the high school Wind Ensemble, North Hills Singers, Chamber Strings, Symphonic Choir, Wind Symphony and Women’s Choir, as well as special guests the Allegheny Brass Band.

The Wind Ensemble will present selections they’re preparing to share later in the year at their performance for the 2020 Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Each additional ensemble will have several of their own selections to perform, however the concert features the opportunity for instrumental and vocal groups to perform together.  Collaborative selections include the combined female voices from the Women’s and Symphonic Choirs with the Chamber Strings on “Dry Your Tears, Afrika” from the movie Amistad; and the combined choirs will join with the Wind Symphony in a chorus of the beloved tune “Let There Be Peace on Earth.”

Rounding out the performance will be a set by the Allegheny Brass Band, who collaborates regularly with North Hills High School’s band program and awards music scholarships to two North Hills students each year.

Students are directed by North Hills High School music teachers Lucas Beaver (bands), Shaun Cloonan (choirs), Len Lavelle (bands), and Nick Vranesevic (strings). The Allegheny Brass Band is under the direction of Steve Baldanzi.

Alumni Choir Event Canceled

10/1/2019

Due to low registration, we will be unable to hold the alumni choir event originally scheduled for October 12, 2019.  We hope to attempt another reunion at a future date.  Anyone who has already registered online will receive a refund through the choir website.  Thank you to all who expressed interest and support for the North Hills Choirs.
