High School Drama Club Presents “Tuck Everlasting” in March, Online Ticket Sales Begin March 1

North Hills High School Drama Club members will come together as singers, dancers, actors, crew members, and orchestra players to perform the annual spring musical production “Tuck Everlasting” on March 21 to 23 and 28 to 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. North Hills is one of the first schools in Pennsylvania to perform this newly available show that first appeared on Broadway in March 2016.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students and senior citizens. All seats for evening performances are reserved. Tickets can be purchased online via ShowClix at www.nhchoiranddrama.net beginning March 1. If available, tickets also will be sold at the door an hour before each show begins.

The cast will hold a special senior citizen matinee performance at 1:30 p.m. on March 23.  Admission is free to district residents age 60 or older. For reservations, contact Activities Coordinator Chelle Zimmerman by phone 412-318-1438 or via email zimmermanm@nhsd.net.

About “Tuck Everlasting”
Eleven-year-old Winnie Foster yearns for a life of adventure beyond her white picket fence, but not until she becomes unexpectedly entwined with the Tuck Family does she get more than she could have imagined. When Winnie learns of the magic behind the Tuck’s unending youth, she must fight to protect their secret from those who would do anything for a chance at eternal life. As her adventure unfolds, Winnie faces an extraordinary choice: return to her life, or continue with the Tucks on their infinite journey. Based on best-selling children’s classic by Natalie Babbitt and adapted for the stage by Claudia Shear and Tim Federle, “Tuck Everlasting” features a soaring score from Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen. The musical began on Broadway in March 2016 and became available for licensing in summer 2018.  North Hills is one of the first schools in Pennsylvania to perform the show.

Cabaret Night: Friday, March 1

2/26/2019

Choir Cabaret Night returns to the cafeteria this Friday, March 1 at 7:00PM! The high school cafeteria is transformed into a casual coffee shop style environment with an “open mic night” feel to it. $5 admission gets you a seat and refreshments provided by the Choral Parents Association. Student performances range from solos to duets and small groups, pop songs, original songs, with keyboard, guitar, and tracks – and all selected by the performers themselves.

NEW SECURITY PROTOCOLS: With the alarm system that was installed this year at the high school, we will not be allowed to use the cafeteria doors to enter or exit the event. All volunteers as well as audience members must enter through the main entrance and walk down the A Hallway to the Cafeteria. All of the cafeteria doors are alarmed and are only to be used as emergency exits.

WE NEED COOKIE DONATIONS! In order to have the refreshments to provide for our audience, we’re asking that choir families each bring in cookies for the event. They can be brought to the robe room in the morning on Friday, or dropped off in the cafeteria after school while we are setting up.
